Alexandre Beuchat has been a member of the Vienna Volksoper ensemble since the 2016/17 season. His most recent performance with the ensemble was as Lieutenant von Schweinitz in The Beggar Student. In 2016, Alexandre graduated from his Master’s program at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. In 2014, during his time studying in Lucerne, he debuted at the Lucerne Theater as Ned Travers in The Boatswain’s Mate. He became an ensemble member at Lucerne Theater in 2015, where he played the roles of Antonio in Il viaggio a Reims, Mr. Gedge in Albert Herring and Anthony Hope in Sweeney Todd. In 2016, he also appeared as Don Parmenione in L’occasione fa il ladro in Zurich. Since joining the Vienna Volksoper, his roles have included Vicomte Cascada in The Merry Widow, Freddy Eynsford-Hill in My Fair Lady and Marchese d’Obigny in La Traviata. This season, the Swiss baritone will also perform as Fiorello in The Barber of Seville, Pappacoda in Eine Nacht in Venedig and as the Hunter in Rusalka.
