Estíbaliz Martyn will take part in the Ravenna Festival in November 2017, singing the role of Nedda in Pagliacci. The coloratura soprano completed her Bachelor’s degree in 2014 at the Escuela Superior de Canto de Madrid and subsequently studied for her Master’s degree under Siegfried Gohritz at the University for Music FRANZ LISZT Weimar. In summer 2016 she took part in a summer course at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and a workshop at the Actors Studio in New York City. In 2015 she made her debut as Gilda in Rigoletto, in 2016 as the Queen of the Night in The Magic Flute at the Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar. In the same year Estíbaliz appeared on stage in Madrid as Doña Inés de Ulloa in Don Juan: Un Musical a Sangre y Fuego. In 2018 the Spanish singer will appear as Toto in 24 Horas Mintiendo at the Teatro de la Zarzuela. Estíbaliz has enjoyed success in a number of singing competitions. In 2017 she won the Competition Jeunesses Musicales de España and in 2016 also took first prize at the Competition Jeunesses Musicales de Madrid.
