Jerica Steklasa




Jerica Steklasa has been studying at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna since 2011. She is currently studying for a Master’s degree in Lied and Oratorio. The Slovenian-born singer made her stage debut in 2013 in Australia as Pamina in The Magic Flute. In the same year she made her debut at the Schlosstheater Schönbrunn as Susanna in The Marriage of Figaro. In 2015 she also appeared there as Adele in Die Fledermaus and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte. In 2016 the soprano sang the role of Marie in Karneval in Rom at the Staatstheater Baden-Baden. Jerica has already enjoyed success in singing competitions. In 2017 she won third prize at the 10th International Hilde Zadek Voice Competition and won the Special Award at the Neue Oper Wien. In 2015 she won first prize at the Vissi d’Arte Competition in Prague and at the International Song Competition in Sofia.
