Pijarin Wiriyasakdakul has been studying at the College of Music at Mahidol University in Thailand since 2015. The soprano has been taking singing lessons since she was 14 years old. While studying for her Bachelor’s degree, she gained experience on stage in a number of roles, including Frasquita in Carmen and Gretel in Hansel and Gretel in 2016. In 2017 she sang the role of Madame Silberklang in Mozart’s The Impresario. Pijarin has also built up a broad concert repertoire. In performances with the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra she has sung solo roles in works by Orff, Mozart, Verdi, Bizet, Rossini and Beethoven. She has also enjoyed success in singing competitions: in 2016 she reached the semi-finals at the Singing Competition of Toulouse and won second prize in the Vocal Music Category at the Osaka International Music Competition.
