Qi Ling was born in Laoning, China. She has been taking singing lessons since she was 21. The soprano first studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. After graduating, she moved to Italy in 2016. There Qi Ling is currently studying opera singing under Rosy Orani at the Conservatorio Arrigo Boito di Parma. She demonstrated her talent in June 2017 at a concert with the Orchestra Regionale dell’Emilia-Romagna. She has also enjoyed success in international singing competitions. In February this year she was a finalist in the International Opera Competition Giacinto Prandelli. In 2016 she won first prize at the International Music Competition St. Petersburg and at the International Competition Rinaldo Pelizzoni.
