Natalia Skrycka is a member of the Berlin State Opera’s International Opera Studio and is a beneficiary of the Liz Mohn Culture and Music Foundation. In the 2017/18 season she will sing the following roles at the Berlin State Opera: Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, Schuld in Szenen aus Goethes Faust and Sixth Flower Maiden and Second Esquire in Parsifal. In previous seasons she has appeared as Kate Pinkerton (Madame Butterfly), Second Lady (The Magic Flute), Flora Bervoix (La traviata), Dryade (Ariadne auf Naxos) and A Dancer in Manon Lescaut. Recently, Natalia appeared in Die Gespenstersonate as Dark Lady/The Cook. In summer 2017 she made her debut as Cherubino (The Marriage of Figaro) in the Bregenz Festival’s Opera Studio production. The Polish-born mezzo-soprano graduated from the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice and has won prizes in numerous singing competitions.
