How did you come to music?

I was a very energetic child and my parents used music in some way, perhaps to calm me down or

distract me. I was always at the foot of the stereo singing along to my grandfather's audio cassettes of Neapolitan classical music. I was 4 or 5 years old and already very in tune, so I was taken to the local singing teacher, who seemed a bit hesitant given my young age, but I had my first concert when I was 5 with pop Italian song. My mother always tells me that when it came to performing in recitals and concerts, I was always ecstatic. Once they asked me what I was thinking, how I was not afraid to sing in front of so many people and I said "I see a meadow full of flowers of a thousand colors". After varius pop singing academies, when I was 13 I meet my first opera singing teacher who discovered my natural approach. A little later I discovered opera history and Maria Callas, her myth, her divinity and above all her Norma. Her magnetism attracted me so much that there was nothing else and so a little girl who had never heard of opera maked it her life.

Which famous person would you like to have dinner with?

Without a doubt Maria Callas, I know it can be taken for granted but if I hadn't heard her recordings I

would never have fallen in love with the opera and I would never have discovered my voice, my soul.

She showed me the way to go and I would like to meet her, give her a thank you.

Night out or Night in?

Depends on who you ask, Francesca or Pia? …
