Anne Larlee

Biography

The Canadian pianist Anne Larlee has been working at Oper Frankfurt as a soloists' coach since 2016. She accompanied the American soprano Tamara Wilson in recital here last seasoon and ensemble members Jonathan Abernethy (a streamed recital from the Bockenheimer Depot) and Anthony Robin Schneider in the Holzfoyer in 2019/20.  Before coming to Frankfurt she worked at the Komische Oper Berlin and the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto, where she returns regularly as a guest. This award winning musician has appeared in recital at leading venues in North America and Europe, including St. John's Smith Square in London and La Maison de la Radio in Paris. This much sought-after pianist also worked at festivals including those in Glyndebourne, Aldeburgh and Bregenz, the Opera Theatre in St. Louis and Erl (Tirol) and played for masterclasses held by people including Sir Thomas Allen, Brigitte Fassbaender, Martin Isepp, Felicity Lott and Carlo Rizzi. She also plays regularly for the Bertelsmann Foundation's International Neue Stimmen (New Voices) Competition in Gütersloh.
