Our Winners 2024!

Magdalena Lucjan and Alejandro Baliñas Vieites win NEUE STIMMEN 2024, impressing the jury of world-renowned opera experts. They were followed in second place by Anita Monserrat and Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha. Third place in the men's category went to Finn Sagal. In the women's category, the prize went to two singers: Teona Todua and Seray Pinar. They received prize money with a total value of €65,000.

In addition, the jury chairman Dominique Meyer and his jury colleague Evamaria Wieser privately donated €2,000 as a prize for Ian Rucker, baritone from the United States.

Lin Fan received the Brian Dickie Young Talent Award. The Pantagonia Voice Award from the Fundación Teatro del Lago went to Anita Monserrat and Alejandro Balinas Vieites. The Audience Award also went to the bass from Spain.

NEUE STIMMEN President Liz Mohn warmly congratulates all the award winners: “My heartfelt congratulations to all the winners. It is always a special experience to see how hard these young people work on themselves and then come a step closer to their dream of a national or international opera career by winning.”

The young jurors honored the Bass Alejandro Baliñas Vieites from Spain and particularly highlighted his authenticity and stage presence. The Mascarade Opera Foundation once again awarded the Talent Develop-ment Prize. The prize was awarded to the Soprano Mariam Suleiman from Italy, who can look forward to a one-week training stay at their opera studio in Florence.

On Friday, October 11th, our finalists will be competing for the first prizes in the Stadthalle in Gütersloh from 7 pm, accompanied by the Duisburg Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Jonathan Darlington. We are looking forward to welcome numerous visitors, coming to experience the final in person.

In addition, there will be the opportunity to watch the grand final live on operavision.eu - so tune in and be part of it! The livestream can be found on our website.

Important update:
The semi-finalist Magdalena Lucjan was nominated by the jury to replace Martina Russomanno, who is unable to perform due to illness. She will compete in the final concert on Friday.
